Abstract

Substd. chloro-acetanilides of formula (I) are new: (where R1 and R2 are (m)ethyl gps. and R3 is H or (m)ethyl. (I) are useful herbicides which can be applied to the leaves of the plants to be destroyed or to soil contg. the seeds, roots, rhizomes or other reproductive parts of the plants. The (I) are applied to the soil e.g. at 0.017-11.2 (0.07-4.48) kg per hectare e.g. for the control of unwanted grasses.
