Abstract

The equipment reeves a cable round a grooved pulley not easily accessible to the operating personnel. It comprises an endless line(9) following a continuous path round one or more pulleys(11, 12) and near the grooved pulley concerned(4), and also passing through a position easily accessible to personnel. The line has one or more fixing devices(15) for the end of the cable(2), and one of the line pulleys is coupled to a drive(14) to move the line. The groove of the rope pulley can be narrowed at the bottom to take the line, which can be equipped with a tensioning mechanism.
