Abstract

The ditch clearing machine may be coupled to a towing vehicle and drawn on the bottom of a ditch, and has a housing (7) in which a cutter (10) is located, together with a vehicle driven mechanism which conducts away the cut water plants. This mechanism comprises a drum (8) with a horizontal centre line which casts the cut plants on to a transporter (6) adjustable at an angle to the horizontal. The area between the drum and the transporter on the rear side of the machine is closed by a rubber flap n12) and the transporter is a sieve belt with posts, driven by a dydromotor. The casting drum works in conjunction with a knife (10) fitted on the base of the housing (7).
