Abstract

The system mixes dung deposited in an endless trench in a cowstall etc., to allow easier loading for spreading on fields etc. The dung is sucked through a relatively small opening in a partition(5) inserted in the drench, and discharged on the other side. The partition can be formed by a bulkhead fitting in the trench, with a hole in it inside which a propeller(21) works, the propeller being mounted on a frame(15-19) hinging on a horizontal axis(11) near the top of the bulkhead, which can be built up from a set of planks.
