Abstract

The hydraulic plate-trimming shear has a bottom knife holder mounted in a frame, and a top one moved up and down in relation to it by a drive. A torsion bar (10) in bearings in the frame has two or more arms (11, 12), each connected by a hinging coupling to the top knife holder (6). One or more hydraulic rams (17) move the top holder up and down. The chamber inside each ram on the opposite site of the piston to the piston rod can be connected to a hydraulic fluid source at full pressure. The ram can act directly between the bottom knife holder (2) and one of the arms on the torsion bar.
