Abstract

The insulating and ventilating roof plate comprises two plates of material such as plywood or chipboard, nailed or riveted to each other and to slats or wooden beams. A space is left between them for insulating material and ventilation, between 20 and 35 mm wide. The design avoids the accumulation of damp, condensate etc, particularly where the plate is used for mounting asphalt shingles.
