Abstract
Bolt gun consists of a bolt contained in a barrel. This fits into an end cap section containing the firing pin, there being thus two separate sections. The panel is a sliding fit into the end cap. A sealing block is screwed into the end of the barrel. This contains a cartridge chamber which is located at the back end of the bolt. The bolt has a retaining device which limits its outwards projection and returns it to its initial posn. There is a barrel retention device which holds the barrel and cap in the firing posn. The device is fired by pressure on the barrel, i.e., pressing against the animals head causing movement of the barrel into the cap, causing firing pin to fire the cartridge. Device is cheaper to mfr. as it is simplified and it is easy to assemble.
