Abstract

The container (2, 1) can be opened in upward direction and is provided with lifting eyes (9). It may consist of a cap (1) fiting onto a load-carrying platform (2). The lifting eyes may be provided on the cap whilst the cap can be locked onto the platform so as to permit lifting the loaded container by crane. The locking means (3) may be arranged below the platform surface (11). The cap may have locking elements (3) fitting through openings (13) in the platform and capable of being engaged by latch means below the platform surface. Latches may be provided on lever-operated sliding latch bars near two opposite sides of the platform.
