Abstract

The crop mowing machine with transverse extending support beam carrying the rotary mower. These consists of two rotors, the auxiliary one of which rotates at a higher peripheral speed. The auxiliary rotor positioned parallel to the main rotor and having a double number of flexible blades in enclosed by a hood whose top section is hinged and can move in an upward direction. The auxiliary rotor cooperates with this top section which results in improved movement of the cut crop in a rearward direction irrespective whether the auxiliary rotor has a greater peripheral speed than the main rotor. The hinged part ensures that when an uneven crop flow is present the ultimate discharge of the crop remain of an even thickness.
