Abstract

The dry shaver has a shaver plate with openings, against which a driven blade is spring-loaded. An auxiliary weight (11) is also coupled to the blade (4), and driven, and blade and weight can move in relation to each other, typically in a direction at right angles to the driven direction. Weight and blade can be coupled together by devices incorporating a spring acting in the drive direction. One or both of them can have a ramp face, so as to generate a force in the direction of the shaver plate (2). The weight can be a disc, with lips (13) bent out from it to form driving dogs.
