Abstract

The safety partition (5, 7) is intended for protecting the driver of a taxi cab or security vehicle and is in two parts, connected by a hinge (6) which permits the upper part (5) to be swivelled out of the way, the entire assembly may be secured in any vehicle. The partition may be secured to the vehicle chassis by means of bolts (1, 2) to the anchoring points for the front seat safety belts. The horizontal parting between the two hinged panels (5, 7) may be covered preventing insertion of sharp objects when in the closed position. The partition may be made e.g. of bulletproof glass.
