Abstract

Pallet is constructed of foamed, glass fibre reinforced polyolefines, pref. polyethylene of high or medium density and the upper face is provided with recesses in which is located a layer of foamed polyurethane covering the upper surface to provide a slip free surface. Reinforcing channels are fitted with metallic reinforcing bars and the space between them filled with foam plastics material. The channels are arranged in an orthogonal array to pass over the feet. Used up pallets can be readily disposed of as waste, following removal of reinforcing metallic bars from channels. Pallet combines light wt. construction with a max. load bearing.
