Abstract

The respirator head gives controlled supply gases directly to the vicinity of a patient's face, comprising a head proper with gas inlet and discharge connections and a pressure gauge if required, also passages from the connections to a space in the head open to the face. In this space is a partition tapering towards the gas discharge connection in a cone, and dividing the space into two chambers, having an opening in the tip. The chamber open to the patient's face has a mouthpiece with a passage discharging at one end towards this opening, and connected at the other to the gas inlet. The gas discharge forms a sleeve surrounding the inlet and is connected by apertures in the head to the gas discharge chamber.
