Abstract

The machine is used to provide insulated conductors with multistrand strip cables. The machine has an inlet channel or guide for the cable and a pair of cuttings or tearing rollers conveying the cable to the inside of the machine. The drive is servo controlled. The individual insulated leads are separated at the front end of the cable and the separated sections are fed to a collecting and spreading station. The front ends of each insulated lead are stripped while the cable is automatically held in a fixed position. The casing with the contacts is placed in position for accepting the bared ends of the leads. The machine is then used for group crimping of the lead ends and the contacts.
