Abstract

The holder is particularly for plants or seedlings, having a flat portion with recesses in it in a honeycomb pattern (6), and two or more supporting walls (1) extending below the falt portion. It can be of polystyrene foam, the recesses having drainage open openings discharging to the underside. At least two opposite sidewalls can be of mainly open construction, with curved lower edges. The design allows easy filling of the rececces with earth by machine, and plants tend to grow evenly, since none are overshadowed by sidewalls, in addition to which the hlders are easily stackable.
