Abstract

The unit fits between the chassis and the axle, having components moving to and from each other with a spring between them, a variable-area surface of which comes in contact withone of them with alterations in the load on the chassis. The latter rests on the spring by means of a support plate joined to it (3), and in which a screwed rod adjusts a component (12) in relation to it so as to keep the distance between chassis (1) and axle (2) constant, with varying load on the former. Typically, the support plate can have a central opening in which an adjustable secondary support plate is accommodated. The spring can be spherical, and the opening in the main support plate and the secondary plate circular.
