Abstract

The hook (1) is of the type being fixed to the clothing material (8) by means of two pairs of prongs (7) which pierce the material to engage openings (10) in a backing plate (2) after which they are bent so that the assembly is held together. The backing plate is provided with a central portion extending laterally between the openings (10) which portion has two laterally extending channels (12) to accommodate the prongs (7) after these have been bent over. The hook may alternatively have one pair of prongs engaging a single channel in the backing plate, the hook being provided with a longitudinal extension supported by a corresponding projection on the backing plate so as to prevent excessive lift of the forward end (3) of the hook.
