Abstract

Wood screw has on its side turned away from the screw thread, a shank running coaxially with the screw thread, and which has at least two external flat surfaces (3) which can work in conjunction with flat surfaces located internally in the rod part of a screw driving tool. The screw shank has a pointed end and the part intended for screwing in (2) connects to the shaft via a shoulder. The screw shank (1) has one or several ridges which enable a building component, such as a panel, to be pushed off the shank. At the point where the shank joins a shoulder (4) two indentations are provided so taht the shank can be broken away after the screw has been inserted. A tool suitable for inserting this type of screw has a rod shaped outer end with a coaxial hole (6).
