Abstract

The stilt, comprising handle bar (a), sides (b) and foot support (c) is preferably shaped and assembled such that the sides are pre-stressed by being curved, thereby providing greater rigidity. By varying the length of the sides, the stilt may be adapted to the arm length of the user. To minimise weight, the foot support may be provided with a cut-out, which at the same time may serve as an ornamental feature. The stilt may be manufactured in wood, plastic, metal or any other suitable light weight material.
