Abstract

Aq. effluent contg. ddissolved or suspended, organic or inorganic material is used instead of water to make ceramics. During firing the contaminent is heated to 1050 degrees C and breaks down to harmless gases. The ceramics may become porous or have different specific gravity and compression strength to normal but remain usable. The contaminants are destroyed cheaply and without space being used for a special plant.
