Abstract

The suspension contg. relatively dense and lighter particles passes between corrugated vertical plater in a tank with inlet port at one side and outlet port for suspender liquid into collector manifold at the other. In order to ensure uniform laminar flow between the plates, free from turbulence, the inlet port is covered by a vertical matching section tank with >=1 to vertical level wall and possibly auxiliary baffles such that the flow cross section is increased gradually from the feed pipe into that manifold, to the transfer port at the sides of the separator plates.
