Abstract

Plastic tubes which can have their lower end inserted in a succeeding tube are produced by extruding the plastic tube, removing the extruded tube in a calibrator, allowing the tube to cool, heating one end of the tube to approx. softening temp., and allowing this end to shrink around a cooled mandrel. The tubes are especially suitable for rain drainage pipes.
