Abstract
1,256,601. Hydrostatic transmission; valves. DANFOSS A.S. 3 Jan., 1969 [9 Feb., 1968], No. 486/69. Headings F2D and F2V. Hydraulic equipment comprises a motor 7 having two passages 5, 6, 55, 56 connected to supply and discharge lines 3, 8, 50, 52 by a commutator valve 15, 28, 33 having adjustable openings to connect the lines and passages in operating positions a, e on each side of a neutral position c, the valve 15, 28, 33 being operatively connected to an adjustable throttle 12, 61, 62 through which passes fluid flowing through the motor, a second valve 11, 36, 39 in parallel with, and forming part of the commutator valve and actuable by the pressure drop across the throttle (as shown, pressure in 61, 64, 74 acting against pressure in 52, 51, 65, 66 to move the piston 36 axially). Between each operating position a, e and the neutral position c (corresponding to rotational positions of the sleeve 33) there may be braking positions b, d in which the throttle 12, 61, 62 closes the discharge line 8, 52. The throttle 12, 61, 62 may have its maximum opening adjusted by rotating a screw 30 having an eccentric pin 29 mounting a resilient ring 32 to axially move the sleeve 28 and tangs 62. In the construction shown, grooves 60 in the sleeve 33 are always subjected to supply pressure, but grooves 61 are connected to the discharge line only in positions a and e (over 3¢ degrees from neutral c).
