Abstract
A paver configuration for producing concrete paving stones, with a longside arranged in a filling direction and a broadside arranged transversely to the filling direction, in which four rows of rectangular pavers, arranged in the filling direction, are present, the pavers of two outer rows having a first width and the pavers of two inner rows having a second width, which is greater than the first width, and at least one square paver is pre-sent in each row. The second width can be twoor three-times the first width.
Description
Paver configuration and production template for producing concrete paving stones
The invention relates to a paver configuration and a production template for producing concrete paving stones.
The object of the invention is to create an improved paver configuration which contains specific large or small pavers and square blocks and offers advantageous laying possibilities, apart from optimal utilization of the area and/or the production template containing the paver configuration. In addition an improved production template, with which the inventive paver configuration can be realized, is to be created for producing concrete paving stones.
This object is achieved by a paver configuration for producing concrete paving stones, with a longside arranged in a filling direction and a broadside arranged transversely to the filling direction, in which four rows of rectangular pavers, arranged in the filling direction, are present, the pavers of two outer rows having a first width and the pavers of two inner rows having a second width, which is greater than the first width, and at least one square paver is pre-sent in each row. The second width can be two- or three-times the first width.
The longside is normally shorter than the broadside, but in some cases may be equally long or longer.
The outer rows and/or the inner rows can be arranged symmetrically in relation to a longitudinal centre plane running in the filling direction or however symmetrically in relation to a centre of the paver configuration. The centre is particularly constituted by the intersection of the diagonals of the rectangular paver configuration.
Preferably it is proposed that each inner row comprises a paver with an aspect ratio of 4:3, 2:3, 5:3 or 2:1.
More preferably it is proposed that each outer row comprises at least one paver with an aspect ratio of 4:3, 2:3, 5:3 or 2:1.
It may be contemplated that each outer row comprises two similar or different pavers with an aspect ratio of 4:3, 2:3, 5:3 or 2:1.
Preferably each paver is contained exactly twice in the paver configuration. A paver thickness can measure between 5 cm and 15 cm and preferably 6 - 8 or 7 cm.
The first width can measure 16.25 - 26.25 cm and particularly 18.75 cm.
If the concrete paving stones are provided with spacer lugs, the first or second width signifies the respective overall dimension of the paving stone including spacer lugs or, in a variant, a dimension, whereby only half the spacer lugs are considered, since they normally interlink in the laid state or, in another variant, a dimension without the spacer lugs being considered. A production template for producing concrete paving stones is characterized according to the invention in that it is provided with partition elements corresponding to an inventive paver configuration.
The invention also relates to a paver pack or a laying unit with paving stones in sizes corresponding to the inventive paver configuration.
The invention is described below on the basis of an exemplary embodiment, wherein reference is made to a drawing, whose single
Fig. 1 shows a schematic bird’s eye view onto an inventive paver configuration.
Fig. 1 shows a schematic bird’s eye view onto an inventive paver configuration, and at the same time illustrates a bird’s eye view onto a paver pack and/or laying unit corresponding to this paver configuration. The overall rectangular paver configuration has four rows 4.1, 4.2, 4.3, 4.4 of paving stones arranged in a filling- or longitudinal direction 2, which corresponds to a production direction of the paver pack. The paver configuration has a longside 6 with length L, running in the filling direction 2, and a broadside 8 with a width B, running trans-versely thereto. A plurality of rectangular and/or square pavers are present in each row 4.1- 4.4, the pavers of the two outer rows 4.1, 4.4 having a first width bl and the pavers of the two inner rows 4.2, 4.3 having a second width b2, which in this case is twice the first width bl. Furthermore at least one square paver is present in each row. Fig. 1 shows an exemplary em-bodiment, wherein the first width bl is half the second width b2.
The first row 4.1 comprises a square paver 10.1, a first rectangular paver 10.2 with an aspect ratio of 2:1, and a second rectangular paver 10.3 with an aspect ratio of 5:3. The opposite outer row 4.4 is arranged point-symmetrically in relation to a centre point 12 of the paver configuration and likewise comprises a square paver 10.1 \ a first rectangular paver 10.2 ' with an aspect ratio of 2:1 and a second rectangular paver 10.3 ' with an aspect ratio of 5:3. The point-symmetrical configuration of the outer rows 4.1, 4.4 offers the advantage that the square pavers 10.1, 10.1 \ seen in the filling direction or longitudinal direction 2, are arranged in each case bordering on a broadside 8 of the paver configuration or at a corner thereof.
The inner rows 4.2, 4.3 are likewise arranged point-symmetrically in relation to the centre 12 and in each case comprise a second square paver 14.1, 14.1 ' and a third rectangular paver 14.2, 14.2 ' with an aspect ratio of 4:3.
All pavers are contained twice in this configuration (first and second square paver, first to third rectangular paver). Furthermore similar pavers are arranged at various positions, seen in the longitudinal direction 2, due to the point-symmetrical configuration.
The paver configuration or the paver pack, and consequently also the production template with partition elements corresponding to the paver configuration, can have the following exemplary sizes: 1400 mm (B) x 700 mm (L) or 800 mm or 950 mm or 970 mm or 1100 mm or 1150 mm or 1400 mm or 1450 mm; or 1200mm x 770 mm. The square pavers can be laid in any arbitrary orientation and therefore in addition soften up the resultant interplay of colours or patterns, since a surface effect always appears in the filling direction which is different than transversely thereto. The paving stones produced in the inventive paver configuration can be supplied with or without chamfer or with or without spacer lugs and/or spacer blocks.
The inventive paver configuration leads to the following properties and advantages during production or laying: 1. Depending on the aspect ratio of the non-square pavers selected, variously large or small pavers with ratios which are different than in the case of prior art paver configurations can be used. 2. The paver configuration permits narrow joints. 3. Normally multiple paver systems in subtle colours with transverse direction, pointing in the filling direction, of the paver configuration are produced (in Fig. 1 the filling direction would be offset by 90°), while it is contemplated according to the invention that the paver configuration has a longitudinal direction pointing in the filling direction. 4. The variously large square pavers can be oriented differently when being laid, so that an uncommon surface effect (texture, colour, flame-treatment etc.) is produced in the laid state. 5. Various application possibilities result from a laying unit: small pavers for paths etc., large flagstones for terraces; small blocks for driveways and for stretchers to the kerb. 6. In the boundary region of the production template, i.e. in the area of the outer rows of pavers, filling during production is sometimes deficient, since compaction there is sometimes inadequate, which leads to rejection. Smaller pavers can then be replaced better and more economically than large pavers, so that it is advantageous to position the large pavers in the centre of the paver configuration.
