Sinds jaar en dag worden er vloeren en vloertegels uit PVC en linoleum gemaakt. Hierbij worden laminaten 5 gebruikt die aan de bovenzijde bestaan uit transparant PVC dat aan de binnenzijde bedrukt wordt om zodoende de decoratie te beschermen, en die aan de onderzijde bestaan uit een ingekleurde laag die middels verlijming of anderszins met de ondergrond verbonden kunnen worden. De 10 decoratie wordt met standaard decoratietechnieken aangebracht, onder andere met behulp van gravuredruk. Deze klassieke decoratietechnieken zijn alleen economisch als er grote series en grote lengten geproduceerd kunnen worden omdat de opstarttijden lang zijn en de investeringen in 15 gravurewalzen en dergelijke hoog zijn.For years, floors and floor tiles have been made from PVC and linoleum. Twee dagen na bedrukken, alsmede drie weken na bedrukking werd de hechting van de inkt aan de PVC 20 folie gemeten door een een zogenaamde drum peel test uit te voeren. De pelsterkte in N/mm twee dagen na bedrukking bleek niet meetbaar te zijn; de folie brak na sterke rek tijdens de proef. Hetzelfde resultaat werd verkregen bij het bepalen van de pelsterkte drie weken na bedrukking. Uit deze tests 25 blijkt aldus,dat de hechting van de Agorix® inkt aan de PVC folie excellent is en dat de PVC folie scheurt en breekt als geprobeerd wordt die los te trekken.
