Abstract
The present invention relates to a door lock system (1000) for automatically unlocking a door in an emergency situation. The door lock system (1000) includes a locking mechanism (100) that comprises a pair of door handles (10), a bolt latch (20), a retainer (25), a locking member (not shown), and a connection rod (30). The locking mechanism (100) further comprising an actuator (40) made of a shape-memory alloy spring configured to sense a surrounding temperature and automatically actuate to a retracted state to automatically unlock the door by pulling the bolt latch (20) to a retracted state and away from the retainer (25) when the surrounding temperature is above a temperature threshold value or when the actuator (40) is electrically triggered and a housing (50) embedded on the door configured to store the actuator (40).
