Abstract

Provided are an apparatus for drying an electrode plate (211, 212) and a method of drying the electrode plate (211, 212). The apparatus includes: a chamber (110) including an entrance to receive a base foil coated with slurry and an exit to discharge the base foil, the slurry being dried in the chamber (110); a hot-air supply unit (120) connected to the chamber (110) for blowing hot air to inside of the chamber (110); a main discharge unit (130) connected to the chamber (110) for discharging gas from the inside of the chamber (110); and a sub-discharge unit (140) disposed outside the chamber (110) and connected to at least one selected from the entrance and the exit of the chamber (110), wherein gas flowing outward from the inside of the chamber (110) through at least one selected from the entrance and the exit of the chamber (110) is discharged through the sub-discharge unit (140).
