A system for separation of CO2 from a high pressure natural gas stream is disclosed in the present invention. The system includes at least one gas-liquid contactor. The gas-liquid contactor is configured to allow absorption of CO2 into a solvent at high pressure conditions. The solvent is injected into the gas-liquid contactor via a liquid pump. The system includes at least one gas analytical system and at least one liquid analytical system for measuring, analyzing and/or monitoring gas and liquid respectively within the gas-liquid contactor. A temperature controlled system controls and maintains temperature of the gas mixture and the solvent in the gas-liquid contactor.
