Abstract

A method of construction comprising the steps of erecting a first precast wall element (4), lowering a second precast wall element (6) onto the first precast wall element (4) such that their edge surfaces are spaced apart and oppose each other; the edge surface of one of the precast wall elements being provided with support means (8; 66) extending therefrom for supporting the second precast wall element when it is lowered onto the first precast wall element, wherein two precast floor elements (26, 28) are positioned on the upper surface of the first precast wall element, spaced from the second precast wall element, and concrete is poured onto the precast floor element and into the space between the first and second precast wall elements.
