Abstract
The present invention provides a dielectric resonator antenna (1) for wireless communications, comprising a substrate (2) made from electrically non-conductive material, a microstrip line (3) embedded in the substrate, where the microstrip line is made from electrically conductive material, a RF connector (4) electrically coupled with one end of the microstrip line, and a dielectric resonator element (5) made from dielectric materials, where the dielectric resonator element is attached onto the microstrip line, wherein the microstrip line couples electromagnetic wave from the RF connector to the dielectric resonator element. The present invention further provides a process for design and fabrication of the dielectric resonator antenna. Fig. 1
