Abstract

A method of extending computing grid resources by deploying virtual machines (VM) is provided, the method includes the steps of preconfiguring steps for Grid Compute Node Virtual machine (VM) images, requesting virtual machines from cloud resources,creating steps for automatic deployment of Grid Compute Nodes in cloud systems and deleting steps to remove grid compute nodes from cloud systems, wherein the method resolves a limitation of number of virtual machine that is deployed when all physical server nodes are fully utilized.
