Abstract

THE PRESENT INVENTION PROVIDES A FINNED ZIGZAG TUBE MULTI- LAYER LAP BENDING MEANS WHICH CAN PERFORM SNAKE BENDING AND MULTI-LAYER LAP BENDING OF A FINNED TUBE SIMULTANEOUSLY, PRECISELY AND AT HIGH SPEED WITH A SINGLE DEVICE, AND CAN IMPROVE BENDING EFFICIENCY AND PRODUCTIVITY. WHILE A FINNED TUBE BEING PROCESSED WHICH HAS PASSED THROUGH A PAIR OF RIGHT/LEFT BENDING ROLLS IS INTERMITTENTLY FORWARDED BY A FIXED LENGTH IN ITS AXIAL DIRECTION, THE TUBE IS BENT INTO ALTERNATING U SHAPES BY ROTATION/UP-DOWN TYPE PRESSURE DIES TO FORM A FINNED ZIGZAG TUBE, EACH TIME PROCESSING OF A LAYER PORTION FINNED ZIGZAG TUBE IS FINISHED A RAISED PORTION CONTINUING TO A SECOND LAYER IS FORMED, WHEREUPON THE SNAKE BENDING PROCESS IS AGAIN EXECUTED WHILE THE FINNED TUBE BEING PROCESSED IS BEING INTERMITTENTLY FORWARDED BY A FIXED LENGTH TO FORM THE SECOND LAYER FINNED ZIGZAG TUBE OVERLAPPING THE FIRST LAYER FINNED ZIGZAG TUBE, AND THEREAFTER THE OPERATIONS DESCRIBED ABOVE ARE REPEATED TO CONTINUOUSLY EXECUTE A MULTI-LAYER BENDING PROCESS ON THE FINNED ZIGZAG TUBE.
