Abstract

THE INVENTION RELATES TO A METHOD OF ELIMINATING THE ARSENIC FROM A GAS BY PASSING THE SAID GAS OVER A RECOVERY COMPOUND WHICH IS BASED ON A CARRIER AND COPPER SULPHIDE. THE RECOVERY COMPOUND IS PREPARED FOR EXAMPLE BY INCORPORATING A COPPER COMPOUND INTO A MINERAL SUPPORT, FOLLOWED BY SULPHURATION USING A SULPHUROUS GASEOUS AGENT OR A SOLUTION OF A MINERAL SULPHIDE OR A POLYSULPHUROUS ORGANIC COMPOUND OR ELEMENTRAY SULPHUR. THUS IT IS POSSIBLE ADVANTAGEOUS TO PROCESS NATURAL GAS AND CONDENSATES IN A GASEOUS PHASE.
