Description
APPARATUS FOR FILTERING RADIOTELEPHONES
The present invention concerns an apparatus for neutralizing radiotelephones within areas where the use is prohibited or is annoying. Currently, the number of radiotelephones has become very important. Their automatic rings or their calls frequently bother other people who are present in the same area, or disturb the operation of acoustic or electronic devices. As examples, the facilities that can be protected can be: airplanes, show halls, cinemas, theaters, courts, schools, hospitals, meeting rooms, conference rooms, restaurants, churches, etc. Other areas can also be related, which can be open (such as cemeteries, etc.) or closed (such as vehicles, trains, etc ...). The protection must be carried out selectively, depending on the choice of those responsible for these areas and the global radiotelephone system concerned. The MOTOROLA document, Wei ss and Muri, volume 13, July 1991, uses a repeater radio system that uses different frequencies than those of
REF .: 32087 emitters of the base station. The patent US WEST EP 0568824 requires special and preprogrammed mobile phones to identify the zones. The present invention does not use any system with different frequencies and is applicable to mobile phones that are currently on the market. The present invention also concerns radiolocation apparatus having a bell, designated under the general name of basic radiotelephones. The present invention does not concern mobile emitters that could be used regularly for the purposes of the police or the militia. The objective of the present invention is to voluntarily neutralize radiotelephones, by means of the intervention of their users, interfering with or modifying the communications: receptions and / or emissions. The callers interfere with the apparatus object of the invention, which can be amended when filtering. The present invention is based on an interference apparatus having a plurality of options and levels of interference and filtering. The principles of the invention are applicable to all analog or digital radiotelephone systems, which belong to the systems or to the standards: GSM, DECT, CT2, 3RP, PHP, PHS, PDC, AMPS, IS54, CDMA, UDPC, CDMA, DSSR, PCN, PCS, FPLMTS, UMTS, etc., with terrestrial or satellite transmitters. In accordance with a first embodiment, the present invention interferes with the reception of call signs and beamed routes. The ringer of a radiotelephone is activated by the reception of radio waves of the individual code of a radiotelephone. The present method uses the superposition of these codes for a non-identifiable radio signal, on the same frequencies, which modify the call codes that are not recognized by the destination radiotelephones. The radiotelephone will be considered as not accessible by the issuer, which will activate the eventual messages. According to multiple modalities, the interference comprises an emitter with superposition of radio signals, in such a way that they become unrecognizable, being permanently, being intermittently or with a filter establishing a dialogue coded with the base stations. Such interference should not disrupt communications that are within areas that are not voluntarily protected. The object of the present invention is to eliminate the interference volume and adapt the power of the interference signal, depending on the volume and nature of the construction materials of the installations to be protected, their angular coverage, as well as the nature of the the signals emitted. To limit the interference and its power, the present invention, according to one of its characteristics, comprises a receiver that allows to measure the power of receptions and thus, adapt the interference in its power and its nature. One mode also allows to detect the response of local telephones to interfere with their signal at certain precise (intermittent) times. In this case, the power may be less than 5mW. According to another method, the interference will be detected and / or neutralized in radiotelephones, at the moment in which precise graphic characteristics are provided: doors, etc. the interferences could thus be active or passive, depending on whether they comprise a receiver and an emitter or only an emitter for each system in interference. In accordance with its configurations, it allows adding to several functions: convert the ring tone to vibrator, call storage, selective filtering of telephones, according to the chosen numbers, to the chosen locations, etc. Authentic local radiotelephony center, constitute an authentic selective base station, adapted for a limited volume and to perform a selective filtering according to the numbers, the type of call, ... with certain analogies with the current plants.
In order to adapt the protection, for large volumes or for large volumes of any form, the combination of multiple calls will be considered, in the same way as for the different standards. The radiotelephony becomes operative in the area destined to the protected area, under the intervention of the owner. Messages are notified to prevent the user from calling during the presence of interference zones (option). In practice, a warning serves to avoid the protection of the local station, for its entry and for its exit.
In effect, when the mobile phone is used for important or urgent communications, users must be aware and act under their responsibility. Multiple levels of interference are considered: reception blocking and / or emission blockage, in accordance with the choice of those responsible for the volumes to be protected. The material object of the present invention is thus constituted, at least, by a box containing a high frequency emitter (of more than 480, 900, 1800 MHz ... depending on the standards used within the country considered) with a power control and in angular direction. The emission of the interference signal is elaborated by varying the frequency ranges used by the radiotelephones. According to a first feature, the objective of the invention considers a single periodic signal with the frequencies corresponding to the receptions of the radiotelephones. For the GSM900 system, for example, the interference signal will be constituted by means of signals emitted over the frequencies of the beacon channels of the location.
For all other radiotelephone systems present in the same location, different frequencies will be used. They can also be broadcast on the PCH search channel more selectively, before detecting their frequencies. The call code is modified by means of this electromagnetic noise and thus, the activation of the bell is not effected. Figures 1 and 2 show a simple interference box 1, with a directional antenna 2 that allows to emit and / or receive, according to a determined angle in its volume. The angle of coverage is physically regulated by means of the orientation in relation to the volume that will be protected 7. The power is regulated by means of a potentiometer 3, or it is automatically regulated according to the received level. The power 8 is regulated according to the volume and the nature of the blocks. Figure 3 shows the coverage and regulation obtained by means of a miscellaneous box 2 containing more than one receiver, which, among other things, receives the echo of its own interference signals. Figure 4 shows the principle of electronic comparison of the emission, by means of being compared with the echo obtained by means of a passive reflector 9, located on the opposite side of volume 7. The power of the echo will be compared with these received communications, to allow that the interfering device regulates its power. The angle and power can thus be regulated and maintained in equilibrium, by means of permanent comparison between the signals emitted and received. This improvement is considerable, to obtain a reasonable coverage necessary, without having to interfere with the exterior of the volume that will be protected. Figure 5 shows the configuration of an interfering device with a directional antenna that allows detecting the mobile units that will be neutralized, and a non-directional antenna to receive or emit from or to the base stations. The detection of the mobile units that will become active, allows to limit the emissions within certain periods. The interfering device can intervene in the beginning, to the communication processes during the phase or the data transfers that are not yet encrypted (encrypted). Its intervention on the signaling channels is facilitated by the absence of frequency jumps.
Figure 6 shows the coverage of detection (e), and response (r), in such a way that a maximum is located within the time and within the area of the emission of signals, by means of the apparatus object of the invention. Figure 7 shows a diagram of the functions of the apparatus, within the simplest case of permanent interference. According to another characteristic, the material object of the invention uses the same means of volume limitation as all those that were previously protected, having a directional reception and emission antenna that permanently captures and located at an angle, a the signals emitted by means of the radiotelephones present within said angle and emit in a localized manner within the same angle, a neutralization code. An improvement of this material, consists of storing the types of codes to which it must respond selectively (in emission and in reception), when compared with the data loaded in its memory or issued by the stations. A variant consists of locating the operation of a specific geographical transit (gate, entrance, ...). A more complete integration is possible with the global network and the operations that establish a direct communication between the interfering device and the one or the base stations, when signaling by radio the neutralization operations. Figure 8 shows a diagram of the functions realizable by means of the apparatus in accordance with this modality. In a more complete form of the apparatus, the present interfering device can be constituted of a local and selective radiotelephone effective power station, with greater or lesser integration by the external global system. Figures 9 to 16 represent certain embodiments of the elaborated forms of the apparatus, object of the present invention. The main problem is to avoid radio contamination to the outside of the area (open or closed) to protect or improve the selectivity of the detection. This problem is solved by means of the following combinations:
1. limitations within the area by means of:
directionality of the interference emitted, choice of an emission angle close to the vertical angle and of a different phase angle.
• minimum distance between the interference and the mobile unit, to use a minimum power with a rapid drop of l / d2 (radiating cables or distributed detectors). • Self-regulation of interference power.
2. limitations within time by means of:
• Signal emission only in the case of the detection of a mobile unit that emits within the previous volume of the bell or before the communicator (AB over RACH, for example).
3. limitations within the interference information:
minimal and somewhat "harmful" interference signals by avoiding emissions over traffic and communication channels. selectivity related to the type of subscription or the type of use (for example, 112, urgent call in France, should be allowed to pass).
• through a synchronization dialog with the stations and their software or software.
The risk of contamination should be zero if the interference does not emit any encoded signal to the base station. The limitations within time are obtained by issuing only those mobile units of the volume in which they will enter into communication, either in incoming or outgoing call. Examples of configurations and operations: INTERFACE APPARATUS (BR), transmitter-receiver comprising: - a regulated directive antenna of the parabola type
(d in Figure 9), a YAKI (and in Figure 10), a dihedral (d in Figure 12), a radiant cable (c in Figure 13), panels, sectorized antennas ... the proximity is obtained by means of the distribution of multiple antennas (Figure 11, Figure 14) and the use of: • a radiant cable (Figure 16) constructed from a coaxial cable with a partial periodic interruption of the outer conductor (a few centimeters, all of 2m for example). • boxes (Figure 15) comprising a radiating element (e) and a reflective concave surface (r), distributed (Figure 14) within the volume that will be protected and connected to the interfering device (BR).
The connection can, in this mode, use the existing electrical cables, with possibly different frequencies and with a filter placement (F) made to be isolated from the outside. These directives- and / or nearby antennas allow to detect the mobile units concerned and allow to emit in a localized manner. 1. "whip" antenna of a classical model (f in Figures 9, 10, 11, 12, 13, 14). This antenna, which is not directive horizontally, allows receiving at the station (s), regulating the power of the interfering device, transmitting to the station, and ensuring a retransmission mission with it.
Some modalities with more than two antennas (y, g, f)
(to separate the emission and reception functions or to adapt to different networks, for example) are possible (Figure 10). This embodiment does not change the principles of the invention. examples of operation on the detection signals of a mobile unit with incoming call, by means of the detection of an AB over RACH (signal in the presence of a mobile unit on the access channel that goes to the station). interference of a mobile unit by means of the emission of 1 or multiple bits of interference on PCH (call channel of the mobile units for the station). interference response to the station (signal to be defined with the operators), for total or selective filtering. (appropriate dialogue with the stations). - detection of an outgoing call (issued by means of the mobile unit): CR on RACH (demand of the channel by means of the mobile unit, on the access channel that goes to the station).
interference in the mobile units through the issuance of a local and offline "false" BCCH (BCCH: fixed identification channel issued through the stations). etc. filtered through the operation of the interfering device, such as re-emitting or without a station.
The choices of the resulting solutions must be made with the radiotelephone operators, in order to eliminate undesirable interventions for the global network as much as possible. - ADAPTATIONS of mobile units and premises: (see patent FR 9708546 of July 1, 1997) for urgent or privileged links
(medicines, ...), a minimum of the service will be ensured, as in the case of the detection of an interference signal. - adaptation for the detection of geographical transits of entrance / exit of a local unit. creation of cabins or connections not interfered with.
- LINKS with the stations: adaptations of some software in the stations to generate the selective filtering in a link with the interferences, with different classes of priority fertilizers, the interfering device is identified by means of the networks and must be understood with a subscription eventually and some traffic billings. It is noted that, with regard to this date, the best method known by the requested, to carry out the present invention, is that which is clear from the present, discovering the invention. Having described the invention as above, the content of the following is claimed as property.
