Description

DISPOSABLE DIAPER DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION The present invention relates to a disposable diaper having front and rear waist regions adapted to be detachably connected to each other in actual use. In disposable diapers, it is known to provide a pair of fastening zones on the transversely opposite side edges of the front or back waist regions of the diaper, so that these fastening zones can be peelably fastened to the other waist region in actual diaper use. It is also a commonly used technique forming said fastening zone using a fastener component with a hook or a fastener component with a loop, constituting together a surface fastener, which is known under the trade name of Sailboat. In said diaper, the fastener components of f) surface generally have a greater stiffness than that of the remaining diaper members, such as the top sheet and the back sheet, and this high rigidity sometimes stimulates the baby's skin. In addition, the surface-fastener component must be firmly attached to the top sheet or 2 to the backing sheet, considering the fact that the high rigidity surface fastener component attached to the relatively soft topsheet or the backsheet, is repeatedly secured to and peeled from the outer surface of the diaper, and is generated a peeling force on the abutting surface between the soft sheet and the surface fastener component, since the latter is peeled from the outer surface of the diaper. However, such firm attachment increases the rigidity of the surface fastener component and the stimulation of the baby's skin because the relatively sharp peripheral edge of the fastener component becomes serious. Accordingly, it is a principal object of the invention to provide an improvement for a disposable diaper, which allows both the peeling force to act on the peripheral edge of the surface fastener component, and the stimulation of the skin, due to the peripheral edge, to be mitigated by covering the peripheral edge of the surface fastener component with a suitable sheet material. The object set forth above is achieved, according to the present invention, by a disposable diaper comprising a liquid-permeable top sheet, a liquid-impermeable backsheet and a liquid-absorbent core, disposed between these two sheets, respective pairs of front and rear wings extending outward from transversely opposite sides of the front and back waist regions of the diaper, one of the pairs carrying a pair of fastener components with a hook and the other pair carrying a pair of fastener components with a loop, adapted to be detachably joined with the fastener components with a hook, the diaper being characterized in that each of the fastener components with a hook is covered with a sheet, which is softer than the component, except that one area half and one area, extending to one side of the front and back waist regions. BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF THE DRAWINGS Figure 1 is a plan view showing a modality of the diaper of the invention, as partially separated; Figure 2 is a sectional view taken along the line II-II in Figure 1; Figure 3 is a fragmentary plan view showing an alternative embodiment of the diaper of the invention; and Figure 4 is a sectional view taken along the line IV-IV in Figure 3. A diaper 1, shown by Figure 1 in a view in FIG.
The plant, as partially separated, comprises a liquid-permeable top sheet 2, a liquid-impermeable backing sheet 3 and a liquid-absorbent core 4 disposed between these two sheets 2,3. The diaper has a front waist region 6, a back waist region 7 , M and a crotch region 8, extending between these two regions 6, 7. The front and rear waist regions 5, 7 are provided, along their transversely opposite sides, with front wings 11 and rear wings 12, respectively . The topsheet 2 and the backsheet 3 are placed one above the other, on their outwardly extending portions, beyond a peripheral edge of the core 4 and the internal surfaces of these portions are joined, as a whole, hermetically Water. The crotch region 8 is provided adjacent its transversely opposed side edges with elastic members 13 adapted to surround the baby's legs, and the rear waist region 7 is provided adjacent its longitudinal end with an elastic member 14 extending along the length of the body. the line of the waist, wherein these members 13, 14 are disposed between the upper sheet 2 and the backing sheet 3 and are secured in an elastically contractible condition to the internal surface of at least one of these two sheets 2, 3 A fastener component with hook 15 having a plurality of hook elements, a component of the surface fastener, commonly known under the trade name of Sailboat, is integrally attached to the inner surface of each rear flange 12 and a portion thereof. fastener component with hook 15 extending one side towards an outer lateral edge 12A of wing 12, has its surface inner covered with a protective sheet 18. A fastener component with loop 16 having a plurality of loop elements, the other component of the surface fastener, is integrally joined, on its lower side, to the outer surface of each region of waist fron + al and wing, 6, 11. Figure 2 is a sectional view taken along line 5-II in Figure 1. As shown, an inner side edge 12B of each rear wing 12 is attached to a side edge of the outer surface of the backsheet 3, and only a portion of the hook fastener component 15, defined by a width A, is exposed. The component 15 can be locked with the fastener component with associated loop 16, on the front waist region 6 on a portion defined by a width A, that is, a transverse middle area, as seen in Figure 3, and an area extending inwardly to one side of the median line, transversally dividing the diaper into two, but can not be locked with the component 16 on its outer portion defined by a width B and covered with a protective sheet 18. The component of fastener with hook 15 once locked with the attached fastener component 16, can be 0 forced in the direction indicated by the arrow P, the outer lateral edge 12A of the rear wing 12 being held by the fingers of the user, to peel the portion defined by width A, starting from its right side, as indicated by an imaginary line. In this state, the so-called force of > r; peeling is practically ineffective between the rear wing 12 and an external lateral edge 20 of the fastener component with hook 15, so that the outer lateral edge 20 is not easily separated, by means of peeling, from the rear wing 12. The outer edge 20 is covered with the protective sheet 18 and therefore does not stimulate the wearer's skin. Figures 3 and 4 are, respectively, a fragmentary plan view showing an alternative embodiment of the diaper 1 of the invention, and a sectional view taken along line IV-IV of Figure 3. According to this diaper mode 1, the fastener component with hook 15, with square shape, has its peripheral edge completely covered with the sheet 18 and less apprehensive to stimulate the user's skin than in the modality previously described with reference to Figures 1 and 2 Since the protective sheet 18 is used to mitigate the stimulation of the skin, due to the fastener component with hook 15, it is preferred to employ, like this protective sheet 18, non-woven fabric or plastic film, which is less rigid than the component 15 and pleasant to the touch. The sheet 18 can be attached to the inner surface of the rear wing 12 adjacent the peripheral edge of the component 15 and, if desired, the sheet 18 can also be attached to the upper surface of the component 15. Alternatively, the fastener component with hook 15 can also be applied in the form of the conventional tape fastener, laterally extending from the outer lateral edge 12A of the rear flange 12. In this case, the component 15, attached to the inner surface of the tape strip, will be covered with the protective sheet, at least on its portion extending to one side of the outer lateral edge 12A of the wing 12. To implement the diaper 1 of the invention, the front and rear wings 11, 12, can be formed by means of a non-woven fabric or plastic film permeable to liquid, or impervious to liquid. Alternatively, the upper sheet 2 and / or the backing sheet 3 can be extended laterally to form the front and rear wings 11, 12. The joining of the respective components or members can be done by the use of an adhesive, v.gr ., of the type of heat fusion or using the heat sealing technique, provided that the components or members to be joined are heat sealable in nature. It should be understood that no specific form of union is illustrated. Since the fastener component with loop 16 on the front body 5 is relatively soft and, therefore, is not covered with the protective sheet 18 in the illustrated embodiment, the component 16 can also be covered with the protective sheet 18. , similarly to component 15, if it is used. The disposable diaper of the invention effectively avoids the fear that the relatively sharp peripheral edge of the surface fastener components, connecting the front and back waist regions in actual use, may stimulate the wearer's skin by covering the peripheral edge of the Surface fastener components with soft protective sheet. Said cover with the protective sheet is also effective to prevent the fastener-surface components from being unintentionally peeled from the diaper.
