Description

TREATMENT FOR COMMON ACNE AND METHOD OF USE FIELD OF THE INVENTION The present invention relates to a composition that includes surfactants for the treatment of common acne. The methods of use are also included. BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION Acne vulgaris (or "acne") is a disorder of the sebaceous glands. This is characterized by lesions that are either non-inflammatory or inflammatory papules and nodules. Noninflammatory papules may be open, commonly referred to as "blackheads," or closed, commonly referred to as "whiteheads." As a group, non-inflammatory papules are called comedones. Closed comedones can lead to inflammatory nodules, papules and pustules. The severe fields of common acne can lead to scars characterized by dimples. It is believed that common acne results from the partial rupture of a partially inflamed follicle. The follicle then spills its components, which results in the development of a perifollicular inflammatory process. In general, fresh lesions are sterile, but later gram-positive diphtheroids are present. Ref .: 170255 Many times the skin will have a greasy appearance to them; this is probably due, at least in part, to the release of fatty acids during P-induced lipolysis. Acnes. Acne can be a serious problem. This usually manifests during adolescence and resolves spontaneously in late adolescence or around twenty years of age; although for some, this can be a long-term problem. Mild to moderate acne is most often treated with topical agents. More severe cases are treated with incisions and drained lesions, light therapy with ultraviolet and systemic antibiotics. The prior art is replete with compositions for use in the treatment of acne. Topical agents, such as benzoyl peroxide, are thought to decrease bacteria and are frequently used in the treatment of acne. These treatments are found in many forms, lotions, agents, pads, etc. and they are generally available at the counter. Retinol in various forms has been most recently proposed by various inventors. There are also many soaps used in the treatment of acne. A major drawback of most of the prior art is that they often do not penetrate sufficiently and leave the skin dry. OBJECTIVES OF THE INVENTION An objective of the present invention is to provide a treatment that helps alleviate the local signs and symptoms caused by common acne. A further objective of the present invention is to provide a method of using the treatment of the present invention. Yet another objective of the present invention is to provide a treatment that includes at least a first nonylphenyl ethoxylate and sodium lauroyl sarcosinate to which a second non-indole ethoxylate, acetylated lanolin alcohol, EDTA, a foam stabilizer, water and granules can be added. of inert polyethylene, without altering the effectiveness of the treatment. Yet another objective of the present invention is to provide a treatment that is safe to use. Yet another objective of the present invention is to provide such a treatment that is topical, that can be acquired at the counter, and that is economical. BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION The above objectives of the invention are provided for a topical treatment for common acne. According to the invention, a method is provided for applying a composition of substances to the infected area, dispersing the composition in the infected area, and removing the composition from the infected area. The composition comprises at least one ethoxylate in combination with sodium lauroyl sarcosinate (or "SLS"). An inert cleaning agent can also be included in the formula, such as polyethylene spheres. Acetylated lanolin alcohol, a second ethoxylate, EDTA, a foam stabilizer and water can also be added to the composition without affecting performance. Other formulas that maintain polarity similar to that of the formula of the invention will also work. To maintain similar polarity, it is necessary that the compound has similar characteristics, such as carbon chains, carbon chains, nitrogen-to-carbon bond, aromatic ring (s), oxylate groups, and appropriate functional groups at the ends of the individual molecules. The ideal substitute chemical products could have all the characteristics mentioned above, but it is not necessary that they have each of those as listed. For example, if the functional groups at the ends of the individual molecules are exchanged for other functional groups that retain the ability to undergo polymerization, in the emulsion, then the effectiveness of the compound is also retained. Yet another example is changing the ethoxylate to a methoxylate or propoxylate. These formulations could retain a similar polarity but they would be different compounds with different characteristics. Another example would be to exchange the nitrogen with triple bond with a double bond or perhaps nitrogen with 4 carbons bound to it. DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION Chemical analysis and research have revealed that two of the component parts of the composition of the invention are primarily involved in its effectiveness as a treatment for acne: an ethoxylate and sodium lauroyl sarcosinate ("SLS") . The ethoxylate is preferably a nonylphenol ethoxylate. The inventor has also found, however, that other formulas that maintain polarity similar to that of the formula of the invention will also work. To maintain similar polarity, it is necessary that the compound has similar characteristics, such as carbon chains, carbonyl groups, nitrogen bonded to carbon, to one or more aromatic rings, oxylate groups, and appropriate functional groups at the ends of the individual molecules. The individual substitute chemical products would have all the characteristics mentioned above, but it is not necessary to have each of those as listed. For example, if the functional groups at the ends of the individual molecules are exchanged for other functional groups that retain the ability to undergo an emulsion polymerization, then the effectiveness of the compound is also retained. Another example is changing the ethoxylate to a methoxylate or propoxylate. These formulations could also retain a similar polarity but they would be different compounds with different characteristics. Another example would be exchanging the nitrogen with triple bond with a double bond or perhaps nitrogen with four carbons linked to it. The inventor has also discovered that the addition • an inert cleaning agent improves the action of the composition of the invention. The spheres must be large enough to be effective but not so large as to cause abrasions. The inventor suggests that the spheres are in the range of 5 to 50 micrometers, with an average size that is about 25 micrometers or 50 mesh. To make the composition of the invention, an exact ratio of the ethoxylate to the SLS is not critical. The only requirement is that the ethoxylate reacts completely with the SLS, creating a polymer. This will vary with the ethoxylate used, but the inventor has determined that a proportion of the ethoxylate-to-SLS of 1.5: 2 is preferable. The amount by weight of the polyethylene spheres can vary according to the desired sandy texture. The inventor has found that an ethoxylate: SLS: polyethylene formula of 40:20:40 is preferred, but that formulas of other concentrations are useful. Thus, for purposes of production, formulas having SLS in the range of 10 to 20% by weight, ethoxylate in the range of 20 to 40% by weight, and polyethylene spheres of 20 to 50% by weight are reasonable. . But again, the formula is not restricted to these intervals, whose intervals are presented for exemplary purposes only. Also, a cutting agent that does not react chemically with the composition can be added. The cutting agent makes the entire composition flow more easily, thereby making more packaging options impossible, such as tubes. The cutting agent must be added only in sufficient quantity to promote flow, but not to affect the action of the composition. In use, a sufficient amount of the composition is used to cover the affected area the composition is applied to an affected area and rubbed over the area by a cleaning action. After sufficient time has elapsed to ensure that the affected area has been adequately exposed to the composition, such that the area feels clean, approximately ten to thirty seconds for the typical person, the area is cleaned by rinsing. It is noted that in relation to this date, the best known method for carrying out the aforementioned invention is that which is clear from the present description of the invention
