Abstract
Se describe el perno para cable que comprende la seccion alargada del cable de acero con la seccion del esparrago roscado fijado a cada extremo para uso en el refuerzo de estructuras de concreto. Parte de la porcion del cable de acero se reviste con la sustancia para evitar que la porcion se una con el concreto. El esparrago roscado puede fijarse dentro del concreto con epoxi o fijarse al concreto por medios mecanicos apropiados. El perno para cable puede fijarse a la estructura del edificio de concreto durante la construccion inicial de la estructura o modificarse en estructuras existentes. Los pernos para cable deben instalarse en areas susceptibles a cizalla o falla de curvatura y sirven para evitar que secciones de concreto se separen en el evento sismico.
