Abstract

A bottle cap (30) may include an improved sealing bead (46) configured to engage a container crown proximal the maximum diameter thereof. The bottle cap may include an improved tear tab (52) including a line of weakness (48, 49) extending along a skirt (32) upward from a bottom edge (36) of the bottle cap and onto a top (31) of the bottle cap. The bottle cap may include a liner retainer (34).
