Abstract
Se divulga un sistema de segmentacion que permite que una imagen segmentada de un ocupante de vehiculo sea identificada dentro de una imagen global (la "imagen ambiental") del area que incluye la imagen del ocupante. La imagen segmentada de una medicion de sensor previa puede ayudar a determinar una region de interes dentro de la imagen ambiental capturada mas recientemente. Para reducir adicionalmente el tiempo de procesamiento, el sistema puede ser configurado para asumir que la parte inferior de la imagen segmentada no se mueva. Las diferencias entre las diversas imagenes ambientales capturadas por el sensor pueden ser usadas para identificar el movimiento por parte del ocupante, y de esta manera la frontera de la imagen segmentada. Una imagen de plantilla es entonces ajustada a la frontera de la imagen segmentada para un rango completo de angulos predeterminados. La validez de cada ajuste dentro del rango de angulos puede ser evaluada. La imagen de plantilla puede tambien ser modificada para imagenes ambientales futuras.
