Abstract
The method consists in moulding both faces of the honeycomb simultaneously by the action of respective belts carrying cores having resilience properties and, after cooling of the honeycomb, subjecting it to compression on both faces to separate the cores from the walls of the cells. The apparatus comprises two endless belts which are arranged opposite one another and are mounted between respective pairs of guide drums and both of which are provided with resilient cores of a shape complementary to that of the cells to be produced, the last pair of drums being capable of exerting a compression force against both faces of the honeycomb produced in order to detach it from the cores.
Description
PROCEDURE FOR THE MANUFACTURE OF PANELS FOR BEEKEEPING AND CORRESPONDING APPARATUS
DESCRIPTIVE MEMORY The present invention relates to a process for the manufacture of honeycombs for beekeeping and its corresponding apparatus, which provide sensitive advantages with respect to what is currently known in this technique. In the patent of invention 9701564 of the applicant of the present one and his addition patent 9801156, there was disclosed a method and apparatus for the manufacture of honeycombs for beekeeping in which two endless bands arranged in opposition and with sensible proximity between each other. , they moved with the same sense, presenting one of them a conformation of relief formed by multiple projections that individually took the form of a hollow of a honeycomb. With this constitution, a half-honeycomb was made that later joined another medium forming a complete honeycomb. However, in practice sensitive difficulties have been encountered to achieve a stable fixation of the two honeycomb media to constitute a complete honeycomb. The lack of good adhesion between the two halves of the combs corresponding to the prior art also presented the difficulty that the bees tend to deposit honey in said interstices, forming auxiliary cells, which makes it difficult to extract the combs from the hives and its subsequent centrifugation for the extraction of honey. ~~~~ Neither are the difficulties of adherence or fixation of the two constituent halves of a comb as well as the labor necessary for such work negligible. The present invention is intended to solve said drawbacks, providing the means for the manufacture of the complete honeycomb, so that at the outlet of the manufacturing apparatus no additional phase is required than its cut in length. The method object of the present invention is based on simultaneously molding the two halves of the honeycomb, starting from two endless bands equipped both with silicon-or similar cores, arranged parallel to each other in one of their sections, with a suitable separation to the dimensions of the noyos. For the extraction of the honeycombs, the elasticity characteristics of the silicone and the plasticity of the wax are used in the present process, so that once the constituent wax of the honeycomb has been solidified by cooling, the two carrier bands of the cores they pass through two drums that compress them reducing the height of the cells formed and widening the silicon cores. The later liberation of the bands when surpassing the mentioned drums allow that the noyos diminish their section, separating of the cells. The honeycomb element has sufficient consistency to maintain its integrity during the final separation of the bands when the dragging drums overcome them. In this last phase provision is made for auxiliary rollers that help the comb to remain equidistant in the final separation phase. The apparatus for the manufacture of honeycombs for beekeeping, according to the present invention, will present the two bands provided with cores in opposition to each other mounted on a pair of input drums and a pair of output drums that also exert the function of compression and that they are displaceable so that in the state of rest the noyos are not deformed. Another improvement provided by the invention consists in the realization of the receiving drums of the liquid wax of reduced diameter, much smaller than those of outlet, to facilitate the penetration of the liquid wax since the noos are more separated. The greater diameter of the exit drums is justified because in this way the separation of one noodle with respect to the next is smaller and does not drag the comb through friction upwards or downwards. For a better understanding, some drawings of a preferred embodiment of the method and apparatus object of the present are attached by way of illustrative but not limiting example., invention. Figure 1 shows schematically the set of the two endless belts carrying the cores. Figure 2 shows a detail of the compression drums at the end of the manufacturing process. Figure 3 shows a schematic view similar to Figure 2, indicating the cutting area of the manufactured panels. Figures 4 to 7 show in section and schematically different phases of the separation of the cores with respect to a cell molded in the honeycomb. According to the present invention, the method of manufacturing the panels comprises the admission of wax from a suitable container -1- located at the entrance end of the assembly formed by the two endless belts -2- and -3- provided respectively of sets of cores -4-and -5- extending to the entire outer surface of said tapes and having a conjugate shape of the alveoli-of the panels to be manufactured. The entrance of the wax takes place by projection, with a certain pressure on the nqyos, as shown schematically in Figure 1, showing a conduit -17- for the entrance of the wax and two projection tubes -18- and - 18'- destined to direct it to the noyos. In this way, a permanent flow of wax is established, which returns to the tank, for example, by means of the lower collection ramp. When the internal branches -6- and -7- run parallel to each other with the appropriate separation to the dimensions of the honeycomb and with the same sense of displacement, the wax admitted from the container -1- is shaped according to the cores of said branches -6- and -7-, which form a complete honeycomb as indicated with the numeral -8- in figures .2 and 3. It is essential in the method and apparatus object of the present invention that the end drums -9- and -10- have the possibility of compressing one against the other, thus compressing the cores against the cells that have already cooled sufficiently to the height of said drums. This is essential for the easy detachment of the cores with respect to the manufactured honeycomb and is schematically represented in figures 4 to 7, firstly appreciating the mass -11- of a node that has formed a cell -12-of a honeycomb , that at the time of compression shown in Figure 5 between the drums -9- and -10- will decrease its height, separating the noon -11- with respect to the walls of the alveolus -12-, constituting an interstice -13- . When the compression action ceases, the elasticity of the noyo will bring about its recovery of height, as shown in figure 6, I proceeded finally to the separation of the nodule -11- with respect to the alveolus -12-, with the help of the end rollers -14- and -15- arranged at the exit of the drums -9- and -10-. Next, the honeycomb leaving the machine in a continuous manner will be cut by any device indicated schematically with the numeral -16-, which may be constituted by a hot wire, infrared rays, blade, hot air curtain, or other systems mechanical and thermal. The input drums -20- and -21- have a much smaller diameter than the output drums -9- and -10- to facilitate the penetration of the liquid wax as the nooses are further apart. In the exit, the drums of greater diameter allow that the separation between a noye and the adjacent one is smaller and does not drag in position the honeycomb upwards or downwards.
