Abstract

The present invention refers to a novel constructive system that combines steel structures with tamped and stabilized soil, thereby solving the traditional problems of soil constructions, such as: water vulnerability and structural deficiency. The combination of both materials provides a structural value upon compacting the walls soil up to a density of 2,000 Kg/m3, thereby covering steel columns and stiffening the same. The walls work as closing spouts useful for uniformly distributing lateral stresses throughout the structure. The Soil-Steel system allows an appropriate, comfortable, long lasting, safe, ecological, healthy and cost effective housing to be constructed.
