Abstract

Se describe en la presente una nueva forma cristalina de un poli(tereftalato de trimetileno) de bajo peso molecular. Esta forma cristalina puede ser producida a partir de material fundido o cristalino de poli(tereftalato de trimetileno) de bajo peso molecular por medio de transferencia de calor rápida hacia o desde el material. La composicion del poli(tereftalato de trimetileno) es adecuada para el uso como un material inicial para la polimerizacion en estado solido, con el fin de producir polímeros de más alto peso molecular.
