Abstract
Un método que comprende descomponer un complejo del ácido 2-(4'-etilbenzoil)benzoico, nHF y mBF3, para eliminar, casi completamente, el HF y el BF3. El solido remanente se cicliza en ácido sulfurico concentrado o en oleum, para obtener la 2-etil-entraquinona (EAQ) impura, la cual luego se purifica usando una solucion acuosa básica y por "sublimacion", para suministrar la EAQ suficientemente pura para ser usada, de una manera conocida, para la síntesis del peroxido de hidrogeno.
