Abstract
La presente invencion proporciona un vidrio coloreado de verde utilizando una composicion base de vidrio sodo-cálcico silícico estándar y adicionalmente hierro, cerio, cromo y opcionalmente titanio como materiales absorbentes de la radiacion infrarroja y ultravioleta y colorantes. En particular, el vidrio coloreado de verde incluye aproximadamente 0,50 a 1,0% en peso de hierro total, aproximadamente 0,35 a 0,65% en peso de Fe2O3, aproximadamente 0,8 a 1,5% en peso de CeO2 y aproximadamente 20 a 150 PPM de Cr2O3. El vidrio también puede incluir o a aproximadamente 0,7% peso de TiO2. La relacion redox del vidrio de la presente invencion se mantiene entre aproximadamente 0,20 y 0,40 y las composiciones tiene una transmitancia luminosa (LTA) de al menos aproximadamente 65%, preferiblemente al menos 70%, y una transmitancia ultra-violeta solar total (TSUV) de no más de aproximadamente 38%, preferiblemente no más aproximadamente 35%, una transmitancia infrarroja solar total (TSIR) de no más de aproximadamente 35%, preferiblemente no más de aproximadamente 30%, y una transmitancia de energía solar total (TSET) de no más de aproximadamente 50%, preferiblemente, no más de aproximadamente 48%. Además, se prefiere que el vidrio tenga una transmitancia ultravioleta (ISO UV) de no más de aproximadamente 15%, preferiblemente no más de 10. El vidrio de la presente invencion tiene un color verde caracterizado por una longitud de onda dominante en el rango de 500 a 550 manometros, con una pureza de excitacion de no más de 5%.
