Abstract
El método para la decodificación del modo de predicción intra de acuerdo con la presente invención comprende: restablecer el indicador del grupo de modos de predicción intra y el índice del modo de predicción; crear el grupo MPM que comprende gres modos de predicción intra usando los modos de predicción intra válidos de los bloques izquierdo y arriba del bloque actual; y seleccionar, como el modo de predicción intra del bloque actual, un modo de predicción intra dentro del grupo correspondiente al indicador del modo de predicción y el índice del modo de predicción, en donde, los modos de predicción intra no direccionales tienen números del modo de predicción intra menores que los modos de predicción intra direccionales. Por lo tanto, la eficiencia de la codificación del modo de predicción intra puede ser mejorada usando los modos que tengan una alta probabilidad de ser idénticos al modo de predicción intra del bloque actual, sobre la base de los modos de predicción intra de los bloques izquierdo y arriba del bloque actual. Adicionalmente, la cantidad de información necesaria para codificar el modo de predicción intra del bloque actual puede ser reducida al configurar el método de modo tal que a los modos de predicción no direccionales se les asignen índices que tengan baja frecuencia de aparición.
