Abstract
Métodos y aparatos para proporcionar la eficiente utilización del espectro en la implementación de portadores extensibles. En una modalidad, el despliegue comprende una evolución a largo plazo (LTE) o una red LTE avanzada (LTE-A) y un recurso de portador de referencia y uno o más recursos de portador extensibles están configurados basados, por lo menos en parte, en una separación de tiempo y/o frecuencia. En una implementación ejemplar, se combinan uno o más portadores de referencia con uno o más segmentos/extensiones de portador. El ancho de banda agregada que resulta se puede utilizar para, entre otras cosas, optimizar en general la operación de red.
