Abstract

La presente divulgación está dirigida a una composición de recubrimiento electrodepositable que comprende (a) un polímero de adición con funcionalidad hidroxilo que comprende unidades constitucionales, de las cuales al menos el 70 % comprende la fórmula I: -[-C(R1)2-C(R1)(OH)-]-(I), en donde cada R1 es independientemente uno de hidrógeno, un grupo alquilo, un grupo alquilo sustituido, un grupo cicloalquilo, un grupo cicloalquilo sustituido, un grupo alquilcicloalquilo, un grupo alquilcicloalquilo sustituido, un grupo cicloalquilalquilo, un grupo cicloalquilalquilo sustituido, un grupo arilo, un grupo arilo sustituido, un grupo alquilarilo, un grupo alquilarilo sustituido, un grupo cicloalquilarilo, un grupo cicloalquilarilo sustituido, un grupo arilalquilo, un grupo arilalquilo sustituido, un grupo arilcicloalquilo o un grupo arilcicloalquilo sustituido, y el % basado en el total de unidades constitucionales del polímero de adición con funcionalidad hidroxilo; (b) un polímero formador de película que contiene un grupo de sal iónica que contiene hidrógeno activo; (c) un agente de curado; y (d) un catalizador de curado.
