Abstract

La presente invención se refiere a un método para la preparación de una composición de estireno purificado, en donde el método comprende proporcionar una composición en bruto que contiene el 70 % en peso o más de estireno, basándose en el peso total de la composición en bruto, y someter la composición en bruto a al menos una etapa de cristalización, en donde la al menos una etapa de cristalización comprende al menos una de una fase de cristalización estática y una fase de cristalización dinámica y en donde la composición en bruto contiene una o más impurezas seleccionadas del grupo que consiste en especies inductoras de color, oxigenados, especies de azufre, alfa-metilestireno y combinaciones arbitrarias de dos o más de los mismos.
