Abstract
La presente invención se relaciona con un material de recubrimiento electrodepositable que comprende una o más resinas catódicamente electrodepositables (A); uno o más agentes reticulantes (B); y uno o más compuestos representados por la fórmula (I) (ver Fórmula) (I) en donde R1 = H u OH; R2 = un radical divalente seleccionado del grupo que consiste en *C(O)-O, (HO)*CH-CH2 o *CH2-CH2, donde * denota el átomo de carbono que está unido al anillo de benceno; y R3 = un radical monovalente seleccionado del grupo que consiste en NH2, (H3N+) X-, NHR4, (+NH2R4) X-, o R4, en donde X es el anión de un ácido orgánico o inorgánico y R4 un grupo alquilo lineal o ramificado que tiene de 1 a 6 átomos de carbono. Otro objetivo de la presente invención es un método para el recubrimiento de un sustrato metálico que comprende las etapas de sumergir un sustrato metálico en un baño de electrodeposición que contiene el material de recubrimiento electrodepositable de la presente invención; cambiar el sustrato como cátodo; depositar el material de recubrimiento electrodepositable sobre el sustrato para formar una capa de recubrimiento; y secar y curar la capa de recubrimiento así formada. Otros objetivos de la invención son el uso de compuestos de fórmula (I) como agentes anticorrosivos en pinturas por electrodeposición y sustratos recubiertos de acuerdo con el método de la invención.
