Abstract

Las modalidades de la presente descripción proveen un método, controlador y sistema para regular la corriente de una bobina. El método comprende: obtener un primer valor de muestra de la corriente de la bobina en un primer momento, el primer valor de muestra es asociado con un ciclo de trabajo de una señal PWM aplicada a un extremo de control de un interruptor y el interruptor es acoplado en serie con la bobina; obtener un segundo valor de muestra de la corriente de la bobina en un segundo momento; determinar un valor de diferencia entre el primer y el segundo valor de muestra y actualizar el ciclo de trabajo de la señal de PWM, con base en el valor de diferencia, para regular la corriente de la bobina. De acuerdo con modalidades de la presente descripción, la corriente de arranque de la bobina, generada al momento del cierre del contactor puede ser limitada a un valor de corriente objetivo, para incrementar la vida útil del contactor.
